COVID-19 UPDATE: Some insurance companies are now covering home birth and midwifery care Please call your insurance company!
The total package fee includes complete prenatal, birth and postpartum care, newborn care at birth and all newborn screening tests, birth supplies, deluxe birth pool, routine medications for mom and baby at birth and attendance by a qualified birth assistant.
Have insurance? Our biller will work with you and your insurance company to get the best coverage possible but Karen does not contract with and is not in-network with any private insurance company. All fees are ultimately the responsibility of the patient. Keep in mind that Florida law requires most insurers to cover midwifery services and home birth.
No insurance? Does your insurance plan have a high deductible? Early payment discounts and payment plans are available. Karen also accepts most major credit cards.
NEW Loans are now available through United Medical Credit. Click the link at the bottom of this page for more information.
Karen accepts Medicaid on a limited basis. She is in-network with Sunshine and can work with Staywell and Prestige.
Laboratory testing, ultrasound and physician consultations are not included in Karen’s fee. Lab discounts are available for those without insurance.
There is an out-of-pocket cost to you that is not covered by insurance or Medicaid. This registration fee establishes you as a client and reserves your spot on the birth calendar.
