Lynn has attended births since 1984 and became a Licensed Midwife in 1997.  Karen has attended births since 1994 and has been a Licensed Midwife since 2000.  Together they’ve attended well over a thousand births. Their philosophy:

• They believe midwifery care is a friendly partnership between midwife and a woman and her family.
• They have a relaxed style and strive to create a calm, comforting and reassuring atmosphere for pregnancy, birth and beyond.
• They believe pregnancy and birth are normal processes and their definition of normal is broad.  Their underlying assumption is that all is normal and will remain so until proven otherwise.
• They encourage women to trust themselves and believe in their ability to give birth and be good mothers.
• Finally, they believe in the power of both a good laugh and a good cry!
